In the design process, a discussion on leather will outline the various tanneries available.
Week 1-2
Initial consultation
A comprehensive discussion around the vision of your MTO or MTD commission begins. Sharing of pattern, leather ideas and measurements will be taken. This is the start of the relationship between you and your shoemaker.
Pattern drafting and feedback
Your pattern is created, with a temporary mockup pulled over the shoe last. Feedback is taken to ensure alignment on your vision. Iterate, until maker and client are aligned.
Week 3-4
Trial shoe fitting (where applicable)
An exercise with focus on fit, comfort and pattern conformity to your foot. Before the build process begins, adjustments made as necessary to the pattern or shoe last.
Week 5-10
Commission construction
The build of your commission takes place. Regular updates will be sent for you at each milestone of construction. Continue experiencing the creation of your vision.
The 100 hours of crafting your commission begins here.
Week 11-12
First polish and handover
The first polish to your desired level of shine.
Then the traditional first creasing of your commission, on your foot, takes place. Your vision is complete.

For those wishing to add that extra touch of uniqueness to their build, a wide variety of branded leather is available.
Chrome tanned, vegetable tanned, combination tanned leather. Each tannery has its specialty.
